Colour-treated hair sometimes gets a bad rap—it can be dull, processed, damaged. But it doesn’t have to be that way for your hair. All you need are a few basic tips to keep your coloured hair healthy.
Shampooing
•Give your colour a boost with Pantene Pro-V Expressions Shampoo. Find the right colour for your hair then let the Liquid Crystal Technology do its thing to brighten and help protect your coloured hair.
•Take it easy on your coloured hair. Shampoo your hair gently so you don’t damage your hair.
• Avoid dulling build-up by rinsing hair thoroughly with warm water.
Conditioning
• Because colour fades faster on damaged hair, conditioning is important. After shampooing, use Pantene Pro-V Expressions Conditioner to give your colour shine you can see.
•To help stave off the damage from colouring, use a deep-conditioning treatment once a week. After shampooing, run a generous dollop of Colour Therapy Intensive Treatment through your hair and wrap it in a towel for 15-20 minutes before rinsing.
Styling
•Highlight your colour with a light-catching style that lets your hair move. Work Pantene Frizz Defence Serum into damp hair. Blow dry on a medium setting with the nozzle facing down to help reduce frizz. Finish your look with Pantene Hairspray to give movable staying power to your style.
• No time to get to a colourist? Chunking-up layers with Pantene's Texturing Pomade helps create volume.
Maintenance
•The night before your salon appointment, condition with 3 Minute Miracle Treatment. A little pre-pampering is a good idea, because colour processing can damage hair.
•After you colour, put off washing your hair for at least one day, if possible. Instead, squeeze a small amount of Colour Therapy Conditioner on your hands and apply it to your hair—especially to the ends, where hair is more prone to damage.
•Regardless of your location or hair type, seasonal climate changes can make hair unruly and leave your colour looking flat. Help protect your colour by wearing a hat when outdoors, and try a treatment that helps smooth the cuticle and enhances luminosity, such as Colour Therapy Intensive Treatment.
