Curly hair can be hard to manage. But with the right products and techniques, fighting frizz, defining curl and keeping your locks looking loose and carefree will be as natural as your curls.
Shampooing
• Gently finger-comb your hair before washing to loosen up tangles.
• Treat your curly hair delicately as if it were fine silk. Gently massage in Hydrating Curls Shampoo starting at the roots and working down, taking care not to pile hair on top of your head.
Conditioning
• Moisturise and protect your curly tresses. Daily treatment with Hydrating Curls Conditioner creates soft, moisturised curls and helps prevent frizz.
• Add volume to your curls by conditioning only the middle and ends of your hair where it's most susceptible to damage.
• Condition the entire strand of your hair for curly tresses that dazzle with shine.
• Detangling is great for longer, curled strands. Classic Care Deep Spray Leave In Conditioner does double duty, detangling hair and providing gentle conditioning.
Styling
• The right style demands the right tools. A wide-toothed comb helps detangle wet hair with ease, and using a blow-dryer with a diffuser helps prevents curls from frizzing.
• Protect your curls against styling damage by applying Hydrating Curls Milk before you style or blow-dry. Your curls will be virtually frizz-free and shiny.
• Maximise your hair’s volume. Flip hair upside down and scrunch hair while drying, making sure to dry the root. When hair is just barely dry, flip head back up and finish drying while scrunching. Leave a little moisture on the hair and finish by applying Pantene Hairspray.
Maintenance
• Avoid disrupting the definition of the curl. When hair is dry, try to touch it as little as possible to avoid causing frizz.
• If you must comb or brush your curls when dry, use your fingers instead, to help keep your curls defined and frizz at bay.
• Curls need special attention. Choose a hairdresser with lots of experience working with curly hair.
