What is the address where I should send my hair donation?

You may send your ponytail to the below address:
Pantene Beautiful Lengths
Attn: 192-123
806 SE 18th Ave.
Grand Rapids, MN 55744

Can I donate my hair if it is layered?

Do you only support breast cancer?

Pantene Beautiful Lengths supports all types of cancer. Any woman that has lost her hair due to cancer treatments is eligible to receive a wig from the American Cancer Society.

Am I able to send in my hair from overseas?

Yes, we accept international donations as Pantene Beautiful Lengths currently only exists in North America.

When can I expect to receive a thank-you letter?

Once hair is received and processed, you will be keyed for a thank-you letter. Because the process is so extensive, this may take several months.

Can I donate my hair if its been colored?

Hair may be colored with vegetable dyes, rinses, and semi-permanent dyes. It cannot be bleached, permanently colored, or chemically treated (if unsure, ask your stylist).

How many inches does the ponytail need to be?

Donated hair must be a minimum of 8 inches long (measured from just above the elastic band of the ponytail to the ends).

Can I straighten my hair before cutting it?

Wavy or curly hair may be straightened before measuring.

How should I send in the ponytail?

Hair should be freshly washed and completely dry, without any styling products. Hair must also be donated in a binded ponytail.

Do you have a list of salons that participate in the Beautiful Lengths program?

No, we dont currently have a list of salons. Most donors go to their regular stylist with our list of instructions for how to make the cut and mail the donated ponytail themselves.

Do you donate wigs to children?

There are separate organizations that work with children needing wigs, so this Pantene program was designed to help women battling cancer. Unfortunately, our wigs are created for adult head sizes and not suitable for childrens small heads. Older teenagers are welcome to contact the American Cancer Society to inquire about local availability of wigs.

Why is the Pantene Beautiful Lengths ribbon pink?

The Pantene Beautiful Lengths program was created to support all women living with cancer and all cancer research, including but not exclusive to breast cancer. The ribbon logo created for the program incorporates both lavender, which is a symbol to represent general cancer awareness, and pink, to represent the Pantene Beautiful Lengths product collection.

Pantene Beautiful Lengths has always accepted hair donations but why is the program now accepting monetary donations too?

Since 2006, Pantene Beautiful Lengths has continued to grow stronger due to the incredible kindness and passion of its donors. Over the past 8 years, Pantene Beautiful Lengths has received numerous requests from people who would like to support the cause through monetary donations in lieu of a hair donation. As a result, Pantene Beautiful Lengths has implemented a monetary donation component to the program, allowing everyone who wants to participate in the program a way to show their continued support and help create even more wigs for women undergoing cancer treatments.

When I donate money to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Fund, how is that money being used?

Every penny donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths is used to create real-hair wigs for women undergoing cancer treatments. The wigs are distributed through select American Cancer Society® wig banks, free of charge to women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments.

Is there a minimum amount needed to donate money to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Fund?

There is no minimum amount needed to make a monetary donation to the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. Every penny counts!
